S.1 E.14 Sustainable fashion and storytelling with Mansi Shah
Mansi is a sustainability thought leader and change agent in India. With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, Mansi brings with her rich experiences, with a strong focus on brand-building, business development, and storytelling.
Mansi’s mission is to make sustainability storytelling more exciting and authentic in India. She’s fascinated by the idea of using communication and branding as tools to bring about behavioral shifts, and hopes for more Indian companies to be at the forefront of sustainability conversations globally. In 2019, she gave a TED talk called ‘Why we shouldn’t talk about sustainability' to highlight the detrimental impact of fast fashion on the planet, which had a profound impact on high-school students. Inspired by this, she created Keep It Sustainable Stupid (KISS), an Instagram page simplifying sustainability and making it fun for the Gen-Z audience.
